Top Paid Indian CEOs
They're the heads of some of the world's top companies and earn some of the highest salaries. Here's a list of some of the highest earning Indian CEOs in the world.
TK Kurien: Tech company Wipro, which recently appointed TK Kurien as CEO, is ready to pay him a big fat salary. Kurien, 50, who has been appointed the CEO for the five years, will get a salary in the range of Rs. 3 crore to Rs. 10 crore per annum. His salary will include periodic increments as may be approved by the board within the above limits and will also include variable pay (based on performance criterion) among other benefits.
Vineet Nayar: Besides 1,000,000 equity shares, Nayar, who is CEO of HCL Technologies, netted himself a compensation amounting to Rs. 4.54 crore in 2010. At the age of 49, he is also an IT executive, vice chairman and member of HCL's board of directors.
N Chandrasekaran: Commonly known as Chandra, N Chandrasekaran, 48, is the chief executive officer and managing director of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). He received a total compensation ofRs. 3 crore for the FY 2009-2010. This was inclusive of a salary of Rs. 46.7 lakh, perks allowance of Rs. 51.12 lakh and commission of Rs. 2 crore.
N Chandrasekaran: Commonly known as Chandra, N Chandrasekaran, 48, is the chief executive officer and managing director of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). He received a total compensation ofRs. 3 crore for the FY 2009-2010. This was inclusive of a salary of Rs. 46.7 lakh, perks allowance of Rs. 51.12 lakh and commission of Rs. 2 crore.
S Gopalakrishnan: Kris to his colleagues, S Gopalakrishnan is one of the founders and CEO of Infosys Technologies Limited, a global IT business solutions provider. At the age of 55, with a basic salary of Rs. 31 lakh, his total compensation for 2010 totaled up to Rs. 1 crore per annum. He ranked 43rd on the Forbes list of India's Richest, in 2010.
Indra Krishnamurthy Nooyi: Indian-born American executive, Nooyi, 56, is the chairperson and CEO of PepsiCo Incorporated. In 2010 her basic salary was Rs. 5.7 crore. Her total compensation totaled up to a whopping Rs. 71 crore, which included restricted stock awards worth Rs. 26 crore, and non-equity incentive plan compensation worth Rs. 15 crore. In 2010 she ranked Number 1 on Fortune's list of the '50 Most Powerful Women' and Number 6 on Forbes' 'World's 100 Most Powerful Women'.
