Date a Younger Woman

Should I Really Date a Younger Woman?

Well, we don't really blame you if you've ever thought about dating younger women.
Almost all of us would have thought about such a thing. Many would have even followed through with it. Now a disclosure: she may be sweltering hot, she may give you that comfort, she may be fun but chances of such a relationship going awry are more than everything going alright.
Hugh Hefner's fiasco with his ex-fiance Crystal Harris is an example which stands in support of the above assertion. 25 years old Crystal broke off the engagement with 84-years old Hefner just five days before the marriage. Well, one may argue that here the age difference was quite huge but generally, getting into relationships with younger women only does more harm than good. Men often end up ruining their marriages in their pursuit of a twenty-something babes and eventually, the entire thing turns out to be a mirage.

Let's see how dating a girl 10, 20 (or more) years younger to you is quite likely to be a recipe for disaster:

Because She is Not a Fresh Start

Older men who fall for younger women are normally enticed by the seeming innocence and purity of the latter. They often assume that it's older women who have emotional hang-ups and that a younger woman won't have intimacy issues as she has never had a broken heart. This is not true, at least not in entirety. Normally, every woman - young or old - has an emotional baggage to carry. Further, younger women are likely to have issues that older women have outgrown. In fact, they might even be more insecure.

Is it All About Money, Honey?

Have you ever wondered that when you were all young and pumped-up, you couldn't get the girl of your dreams? And now when you're nearing forties and look “obviously old”, a hottie 15-20 years younger to you is prostrating her in front you. What could be the possible reason? Sorry for sounding crude but a possible reason can be that you're earning much more than what you were 15 years ago. Younger women are often attracted to the security that older men can provide them. We're not being misogynistic but they can be in it for financial advantages as well and you may end up getting no emotional fulfillment at all.

The Very Obvious Generation Gap

If the age difference is huge, somewhere around 30 years, then the forces of generation gap can come into play. A 50-years-old might find it hard to understand a 20-years-old obsession with handheld gaming consoles. Similarly, the young woman may not be able to relate to the man's musical tastes. It's hard to build a relationship when the two parties have so little in common.

Revisiting the Good Ol' Days. Really?

Often, older men date young women in an attempt to get the fountain of youth in them flowing again with full force, but it rarely, if ever, works. They plan to do the kind of things they used to be adept at in their 20s. So when you start, the first few days (or even weeks) can be great. But slowly and gradually, you might get tired of the club hopping, all-night binge drinking and the other such stuff.Such relationships are quite like honeymoons - lot of sex, romance and adventure but a honeymoon, like most good things, does (and must) come to an end.

Do not mistake us for cynics after reading the stuff above. We've just highlighted the possible reasons for such relationships going off the track. Some of them may even work. We know you're thinking of Rupert Murdoch's super-wife Wendi Chang but such cases are quite rare. At the end of the day, it's your own decision to enter into such relationships. We have only tried to help you in not making an error of judgement.
