Indian Male Models

It is said more than often that "models can't act". We say, some can while some are just not made for it.
These models who turned toBollywood for an alternative career in acting have had their fair share of ups and downs. While some tasted success in both fields, some modelling greats faced defeat in Bollywood and slipped into oblivion. Here are some of the models turned actors in Bollywood.

John Abraham

John Abraham was a supermodel and repeated the success story in Bollywood too. He marked his entry in Bollywood with 'Jism' and took quite a while to establish himself as a bankable star. After a notable number of hits, John struck gold with 'Dostana'. Today John is one of the hottest stars of Bollywood and is a style icon for the country's youth.

Arjun Rampal

Arjun Rampal was a supermodel and was a major force in the modelling world. His entry into Bollywood was not really sugar coated as his initial films bombed critically and commercially. However, Arjun staged a comeback with fiolms like 'Om Shanti Om', 'Don' and 'Rock On'- for which he won a National Award. Today, Arjun has his own standing in the industry and he is considered a good actor.

Dino Morea

His debut film, 'Raaz' opposite ex-girlfriend, Bipasha Basu, was a smash-hit and many thought this model was a worthy find. However, with time, Dino's flop show in films continued and it proved that Dino was probably better off modelling his way to glory. He continues to act in movies once in a while but isn't counted amongst the 'actors' of Bollywood.

Milind Soman

Milind Soman was the king of the runway during his heydays. He acted in a few movies here and there but could not match up to the Bollywood actors as his films performed miserably. He was someone who was glorified on the ramp but failed to create magic on the silver screen.

Upen Patel

No. Upen Patel did not know that Acting actually began with an 'A'. Apart from his overt brawniness and smug appearance, there was nothing one could see on the movies starring Upen Patel. Upen was such an actor who did not even try to improve. After not even a handful films, Upen disappeared from the scene and we think he is best left alone

Shaving Brush

The shaving brush is probably the most neglected piece of grooming equipment in your bathroom. You probably dip it in the mug of water you used for your shave, remove visible lather and leave it alone.
In case you haven't noticed, your shaving brush is basically animal hair. Unless you're using a cheap nylon-hair brush. Anyway, by not thoroughly cleaning your brush, you're doing two things -
1. Applying chemicals from your last shave onto your face
2. Reducing the life of your brush.
Your brush exists to work with shaving cream and hot water to create an awesome lather to shave on. To get started, rinse your brush, root to tip (you'll find some old cream-good in the root. hang it out upside down in your shaving brush stand to drip-dry the leftover water in the bundle of hair that is your brush. If you don't have a stand ( I don't), put it in sunlight.
Putting it inside your bathroom cabinet immediately after a shave may cause mildew - it IS natural hair.
Cleaning the Shaving Brush: Inventory
A bit of vinegar (a pinch)
Detergent powder (another pinch)
A glass of water

Step 1: Cleaning your shaving brush

Rinse your brush under running water.

Step 2: Lather up the brush

Now rub in the detergent like a shampoo into the hairs of your brush.

Step 3: Soak

Put the soaped up brush inside the glass of water to soak for a minute.

Step 4:Rinse and repeat

Wash the brush again, removing all lather.

Step 5: Vinegar

Put the brush back in the glass, with clean water. Put in a good-sized pinch of vinegar. Let the brush soak in the vinegar water for a minute. Stir it a bit now and then

Step 6: Rinse and shine

Rinse out the brush.
I advise soaking the brush in water to soak out any residue + a bit more running water.
Now air out the brush - everyone can afford sunlight.

When should you clean the brush?

Hard water requires you to clean the brush more often. So does the use of shaving cream over soap (faster residue build-up). It also depends on how efficiently you clean out your brush when after you shave.

Casual rinsers should get the vinegar and detergent out when they notice any build-up near the brush - and this also depends on how often you shave.

Cheaters

Unfortunately, too many people know what it's like to be cheated on -- myself included. It breaks your heart, makes you angry and can make you doubt yourself and future relationships and partners. After you've been cheated on, it's hard to make sense of what happened. Over time, I ended up learning several valuable lessons through personal experience as well as from many who either cheated or were cheated on.

Worrying won't change anything
Being a good partner, unfortunately, does not guarantee that you won't get cheated on. I know this statement isn't exactly comforting, but there are always ways to cheat and there are always people willing to be the "other person." You can't spend your life or your entire relationship worrying that your partner is going to cheat. It's a simple truth that anyone can cheat at almost any time; the only thing you can do is have faith in your partner that it won't happen. All the worrying in the world won't change things.
There's no excuse for cheating
There's a lot of reasons people give for cheating, some of which include not getting enough sex at home, not getting enough attention from a partner and wanting the thrill of sneaking around, but one thing remains the same -- there's always an option not to do it. Those I've talked to who have cheated said that despite the reasons they gave for doing what they did, they could have easily stopped the situation but didn't.
If there seems to be something lacking from the relationship, it's important to talk to your partner about it; not talking won't help fix things and neither will cheating. If you've tried to fix things but feel the relationship is irreparable and you're incredibly unhappy, you don't have to stay with the person.
Once a cheater always a cheater?
I've heard this statement more times than I can remember, but I don't completely agree with it. For example, I believe those unlikely to cheat again are those who admit their mistakes, are genuinely remorseful, backs up the apology with action, talks about why it happened, has a "repair plan" and doesn't talk to the other person anymore. Years ago, a friend of mine cheated on his girlfriend when he kissed a female friend; he felt so horrible about it that he confessed. After a lot of groveling and showing he was truly sorry, they stayed together and got married. That moment years before was his one and only instance of cheating.
Those who have cheated multiple times, cheated for an extended period of time, has done everything to hide the lies, gives an apology full of excuses if there's one at all, doesn't seem very sorry, still sees the other person and blames the partner for the cheating are more likely to be repeat offenders.
Personally, regardless of how sorry the person is, I would never be able to continue to be with someone who cheated on me. From personal experience, I know I couldn't look at the person the same way and I just wouldn't feel the same anymore.
Cheating is equal opportunity
Here's the thing about people who cheat -- it can be the obvious people and it can be those you would never suspect. It's done by people and to people of every gender, race, profession, sexual orientation, color, relationship status, creed, nationality and religion, there isn't one single type. Generalizing based on one or even a few people isn't fair to anyone, not even yourself.
Not everyone is a cheater
Although everyone is capable of cheating, not everyone is going to do it. There's two options: you could either be exceedingly suspicious about everyone you date or have faith from the beginning until you have a reason to no longer do so. Your best bet is the latter. No one wants to feel like a suspect and no one deserves to pay for the mistakes of others. Your relationship has a better chance of thriving when there's a base of of trust rather than suspicion.

Dating

Dating labels you don't want

When you are out in the dating world, things can become complicated easily. If you live in a small town or date among the circle of friends, you should try and avoid catching a label. Labeling women and men is becoming more and more popular among the younger crowds. People talk amongst one another and compare their relationship experience. You probably have heard men talking about the "crazy one" or the "hot one." These are examples of labels that are given out. Some are more extreme than others. The stigma some carry is enough to ward off potential suitors even before they get close to you. These are some labels you should avoid getting and how you can dodge them.

"The Crazy One"
This should speak for itself. I am sure you have heard about someone having a crazy ex at one point or another. You never want to be labeled as crazy, for any reason. Men are automatically turned off by the idea of a crazy woman. While some may date said person if they are good looking, chances are you will get passed up if someone has called you the "crazy one." I had a good friend growing up that was a very pretty blonde girl. We dated among the same circle of friends. After she broke up with one of the guys, she had a hard time getting another date. Why? It turns out the guy told his group of friends that she was a little on the crazy side. You can avoid being labeled as crazy by doing a few things. If you are going to freak out at your boyfriend, don't go to the extreme. Arguing is OK, full-out psychotic mode is not.
"The Easy One"
Yes, this is just as bad as being the "crazy one" if not worse. Sex should be taken seriously and when it is not handled properly, problems arise. Sex does not equal love. Some girls feel like it is necessary to sleep with every guy they date. It is not "cute" to have sex right after meeting a guy. You may get boyfriends quickly. Most likely they are just looking for a quickie and will be out the door like the fellas before them. Having respect for yourself is important and should be a priority for every woman out in the dating world. You probably know women like this. In high school these girls were labeled "slut" or other derogatory names.
"The Loud One"
Sometimes this just needs a little fine tuning and you will be back on track. If you are a talker, just tone it down a few notches on the first couple of dates. Men hate to be embarrassed, it messes with their ego. I have a tendency to be a little over the top when I have had a few drinks or if I am just out having fun. I have been tagged as both loud and obnoxious in my earlier years. Once I hit my mid-20s, I simmered down a lot. Being loud is not an attractive label to carry around with you.
These are just a few of the many labels used in the dating world. Once you are known for something, the stigma usually sticks around. Dating in the same circles can lead to problems with preconceived notions. Being a lady is the most important thing while looking for a potentially long-term partner.

Acne Treatments

Managing a skin condition can be challenging and expensive. There are many effective acne treatments on the market, but they can cost too much money for most people to use consistently. Fortunately, you can make your own household acne treatments in your own kitchen.

Household acne treatments are effective, natural and inexpensive. There are many powerful acne treatments that are healing and beneficial to the skin, and potent in healing acne lesions. Here are a few of the most powerful household acne treatments available:

1. Baking soda. Baking soda is very alkaline and is the No. 1 household acne treatment in your kitchen. It kills Candida bacteria and prevents your skin from creating more flare-ups. To use baking soda as a skin treatment, simply mix about a teaspoon of baking soda with a little but of water and make a paste. Massage this paste gently around freshly washed skin and rinse.
2. Tea tree oil. Tea tree oil is available at any health food store or natural foods market. In studies, tea tree oil has been proven to be as or more effective that benzoyl peroxide in fighting acne. To use tea tree oil, lightly soak a cotton swab in the oil and dab it directly on the acne spots. Don't use too much; a little bit is all you will need.
3. Oatmeal. Not only is oatmeal wonderful to eat, but it can also help to heal your acne skin conditions. Oatmeal is a wonderful gently exfoliant. Simply grind about 1 cup of oatmeal in a coffee grinder and mix it with enough water to form a paste. Massage the oatmeal on your freshly washed skin and rinse.
