Facebook is an amazing stress buster and helps you stay connected but do you care when some random person posts a status saying 'feeling lucky' or someone who just won 10000 points in Mafia Wars or, worse still, couples getting mushy and they're all over your FB homepage...Eeee Gawd! Here are some annoying couple habits that need to be avoided so that you are not blackballed by your friends on Facebook
Sickly sweet statuses
These couples have taken an oath to mention their partner in every status update. Their statuses are always filled with “I love youuuu honey” or “I have the best-est BF in the world”. Though we're tempted to toss out a “We don’t care!”, we end up going all "Awww, how sweet!".
It's a status and not a diary. They should stick to whispering these words into their partner's ears.
Love notes made public
They see each other everyday and some even live with each other but no, these love birds just HAVE to fill their partner’s wall with innumerable "I miss yous" and how they cannot wait to see them! It might be a bit old fashioned but using the phone for all this lovey-dovey talk isn’t a bad idea you know?
Their friends might be really happy for them but giving an hourly update about how much they love their boyfriend is plain ridiculous.
Oh, how they love uploading pictures of each other! Not one, not two but albums filled with their pictures. Pictures of them kissing, gazing at each other, sitting on each other’s laps, laughing, feeding each other and more intimate shots. Even if you were really jobless, you wouldn't want to go through such love-sick albums.
Uploading is the first step and no points for guessing what follows. Yes, those typical mushy-gushy comments and hearts! Whatever happened to privacy? *Sigh*
Conversation breaker
In no time, the conversation you started evolves into a mushy conversations and you’re left wondering. Make a mental note - never make the mistake of posting on any of their walls because you know the outcome!
Couple war
They got hooked through Facebook, they publicised their relationship on Facebook, so guess it’s but natural to use Facebook to fight or break up as well, right? They fight and hurl abuses at each other and of course, such a significant event needs to take place on Facebook! From the nagging taunts to the changes in their relationship status from "in a relationship" to "single" to "it's complicated", you get to see it all. How difficult is it to understand - if your relationship is complicated, get off Facebook and fix it will you?
If you know such annoying couples, go hit 'Hide notifications' and there you go! And if you just realised you're one of these, well then guess what...it's high time you change because you're likely to get boycotted soon!
